Arthroscopic Procedures

Windsor Animal Hospital now
offers minimally invasive arthroscopic joint evaluation and surgery.
As many of you know from your own knee and shoulder surgery experiences,
arthroscopic surgery has greatly advanced the standard of care in human
medicine. Minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery results in less
pain, faster recoveries and more accurate visualization and treatment
of joint tissues compared to traditional open surgery. Dr. Fetherston
is pleased to add arthroscopic joint surgery to the growing list of
advanced orthopedic therapies and surgeries offered to clients and their
loving pets at the Windsor Animal Hospital.
Dr. Sloan and Dr. Fetherston
have been performing laparoscopic surgeries and biopsies for the past
4 years. Laparoscopic diagnostics and surgery provide better
visualization
and documentation of the organs. It is also less invasive and
less painful for the patient compared to older open-abdomen surgical
techniques. Please ask us about laparoscopic options for elective spay
and gastropexy surgeries.
