Dr. Patti Piper, DVM
Dr. Piper received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1980. Her special interests are dermatology and hormonal diseases. Her special interests include gardening (with her pets gathered around her) and cooking (with her family gathered around her). At home she has her constant companion “Halle” the Doberman, and two cats, Mugs and Charlie. Dr. Piper is married to Dr. Sloan. They have two children.

Dr. L. Douglas Sloan, DVM
Dr. Sloan received his doctorate in Veterinary medicine from UC Davis in 1981. He was a small-animal emergency clinician for 11 years. His special interests are soft-tissue surgery and emergency medicine. His personal interests include sailboat racing, surfing and studying history. At home he has a Doberman ( “Halle the good”) and two cats (“Charlie the bad” and “Mugs the ugly”). Dr. Sloan is married to Dr. Piper. They have two children Jeffrey and Caroline.

Dr. Marti Notarius, DVM
Dr. Notarius received
her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in
1995. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, internal
medicine, interacting with caring clients and healing our furry
patients. When not caring and attending to patients, Dr. Marti can be
found with her constant companion “Eoghan” (pronounced Owen), a
chocolate lab. They will be hiking, camping, traveling or reading.

Dr. Scott Fetherston, DVM
Dr. Fetherston received his
doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin in
2003. His practice is limited to orthopedic surgery and to conducting
training in sedation, pain management and anesthesia. Scott's clinical
areas of interest are orthopedic surgery, minimally invasive surgery,
pain management and anesthesia. When not working with animals he can be
found spending time with his family and exploring the outdoors.

Dr. Yvonne Stemwedel, DVM, ABVP
Dr. Stemwedel received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1994. She received her ABVP in 2001 in canine and feline practice. Dr. Stemwedel has a special interest and expertise in ultrasound diagnostics. Her personal interests include triathlon, cycling and kayaking. At home she has two pets: “Murphy” a 12-year-old shepherd mix and her 43 year-old husband.
